During the planning phase I will meet with you to go over all the details of your wedding.

I'll coach you through the many decisions you'll need to make and suggest ways to make your celebration unique and entertaining beyond the music. 

 

But, at the end of the day it's all about you. Your wedding should be a reflection of your style and personality. I will never push you to do something that isn't true to you.

Serious About Fun​

 

Guests who are having fun are more likely to stay and celebrate with you all night, but music and dancing only gets you so far.

 

Keeping your guests entertained and engaged from the very beginning of the night is essential to the overall success of your event. As your Master of Ceremonies I'll make sure that everyone leaves your wedding having had a great time… even if they never hit the dance floor.

You don't want your guests to leave early...and neither do I!

No Awkward Moments​

 

Your wedding day should have a smooth and natural flow to it. To do that, I'll help you create your entertainment timeline and on your wedding day I'll keep things moving along and make sure your guests are informed as to what's to come.

This also means knowing that everything and everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there. 

 

It's the little things like making sure Dad isn't in the restroom when it's time for the father-daughter dance or that there's a knife and plate ready before we announce the cake cutting that can make all the difference.

No couple should have to worry about their entertainment on their wedding day... Or anything else for that matter.

I take time to get to know you and work with you to plan every detail of your day. This also includes coordinating with your other vendors before and on your wedding day. So, even if something does go awry, chances are you and your guests won't even know.

When you use Vibo (pronounced "Vibe-Oh,") my app-based wedding planning tool, on your smartphone or tablet, planning your wedding will be a breeze!

You'll be able to communicate exactly how you want your day to go with my detailed planning form and you'll choose as much or as little of the the music as you'd like to help create your unique experience.

Plus, you can import your Spotify playlists and get inspired with tons of music recommendations. You can even invite your guests to recommend and vote for their favorite songs too!

Contact me via phone, email, or this contact form to schedule a phone or in-person consultation with me. During our meeting, I'll ask you about your vision for your wedding day, your expectations from your DJ, and I'll answer any questions you have. Once I know a little bit more about what you're looking for I'll go over what I do and provide you with pricing information and how to move forward, when you're ready.




Lock it in!


Once you're ready to move forward and book me for your wedding date, a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the total balance are required. I only ever book one event per day, and this secures me for your wedding date. The most popular wedding dates (summer through early fall) typically book about 8-12 months in advance, non-peak dates usually book around 4-6 months out.

  • Access to your event in Vibo, my app-based music planning tool so you can get started choosing your music right away.
  • My exclusive Entertainment Planning Guide to help you learn about all the entertainment aspects of your wedding day and help you prepare for your Entertainment Planning Session.
  • Your copy of "The Best Wedding Reception...Ever!" by Peter Merry to help get the creative juices flowing.




Venue Visit


If I haven't worked at your venue before I will be scheduling a walk-thru with the venue to go over logistics like parking, load in/out, setup, room layout, etc. While this visit is mostly for my benefit, a lot of my couples choose to come along too. It can be a great opportunity for us to talk through some of the details about room layout, sound considerations, presentation ideas, and lighting options while we're in the space. If you'd like to attend this visit, simply let me know and I'll find a time that works with everyone's schedule. Even if I have worked at your venue before, I'd be happy to visit your venue with you if you'd like, just let me know.




Entertainment Planning Session


About 5 months before your wedding I'll be reaching out to schedule your Entertainment Planning Session. This is where everything comes together. We will sit down together — in-person — and go over every detail of your day and complete what I call the Wedding Framework. Much more than just the music, this is where we'll get creative and craft your personalized reception to be the once-in-a-lifetime celebration you've always imagined!




Final Check-in


About four weeks before your wedding we'll have a quick video-chat or phone call to go over anything we didn't finalize at your Entertainment Planning Session, tie up any loose ends, address any changes and answer any final questions you have. Once this is done, I'll be out of your hair so you can focus on friends, family and final preparations.

Travis is AWESOME! He went above and beyond to put my dream wedding together. We went over every detail top to bottom and it was exactly what I wanted. He even went as far as creating the slide show I wanted from the drafts I gave him, and created the bios for my wedding party that we all loved. He put up with my last minute changes and indecisive nonsense with a smile and he was a gem to work with.
